POLYGIENE VIRALOFF® TEXTILE TREATMENT TECHNOLOGY liquid is a product created for the treatment of fabrics and materials. 2019 – HOW THE TEST WORKS
It’s a standard test for the determination of the antiviral activity of fabrics. We have decided to use this test so that we can provide our partners with reliable information which they can use at any necessary time. Let’s briefly describe the procedure below:
First step: preparation of the viral strains which will be used in the test.
Second step: Virus Inoculation in Specimens – The liquid with all virus strains is placed on the tissue to be tested.
Third step: contact and washing: rinsing the fabric after a set time interval (i.e. 2 hours for ISO18184: 2019).
Fourth step: measurement of the contagious title: the cells are exposed to the washing liquid from step 3 to determine if they are infected.
The result shows a reduction in the initial quantity of the virus ( shown in step 2) – In the second step there is a fixed amount of viruses that can infect cells in step 4.
After the fourth step we can see by how much the quantity of the initial virus has been reduced ( how many viruses have been defeated) and have a result which states the reduction of the entail amount of the viruses.
