VIRALOFF AND THE FIFTH AVENUE INTERNATIONAL INTERNATIONAL GROUP AGAIN TOGETHER FOR THE OPENING OF A NEW RESEARCH CENTER DEDICATED TO INNOVATION
The moment is difficult and perhaps even more so for the fashion sector, but COLORS, a company that develops innovative technologies and distributes products worldwide, and its partner Milano Colori, a reference point in the Italian market for raw materials and specialties chemicals for industrial use, they know very well that only by reacting is it possible to overcome the impasse. The main driver in response to all this was the innovation that first materialized in the “game changer” product on the market: the Spray Shield Antimicrobial, a product intended for the protection of fabrics, fibers, leather and rubber, which is based on “ViralOff” technology, antimicrobial treatment for fabrics. The product has been adopted by the largest players in the sector, including Fifth Avenue International, an international group with HQ in Hong Kong, able to offer turnkey packages to fashion companies looking for production solutions for their development in Asia, who has chosen it as a fundamental part of research and development for its customers. A successful marriage that now looks beyond thanks to the construction of a Research Center within the new Fifth Avenue International showroom in Veneto.
The plant carries with it a long history of tradition and charm: the new headquarters will in fact be the Eger plant in Mussolente, in the province of Vicenza, a well-known and appreciated dealer of fine fabrics internationally. Deus ex machina of the operation was Alessandro Lubian, the Italian referent of the show room and a prominent person in the distribution of innovative materials in Italy including Polygiene ViralOff and 3M. “The location will become an important research center that will welcome companies that have invested in technology, giving ample space to the development of new materials and new products for the sports, automotive, fashion, medical and military sectors.” – comments Lubian – “In With this in mind, ViralOff has become an ideal partner as all the companies that have adopted it, starting with Fifth Avenue International, apply it to most of the production of garments, both sports and collections, increasing the protection on the garment itself but also certifying its sanitization throughout the production process. The leitmotif of the whole operation will be technological research and an approach to the international economy. ”
Lisa Tavazzani, Head of the ViralOff Project and Ceo of COLORS shares the same opinion: “We are in the midst of a world economic situation that no one would ever have imagined. Health and economic problems chase each other every day, creating numerous impasses in various sectors, including, certainly, that of fashion. With the ViralOff project and with this new center, we wanted to give a concrete answer to both problems. First of all, we created a product that can be applied easily, does not stain, does not interfere with the natural bacterial flora of the skin and guarantees long-term protection against viruses and bacteria on a daily basis. The treatment is also equipped with ECO PASSPORT by OEKO-TEX®: a certification with which the manufacturer of chemical products for the sector can demonstrate that its products can be used within a sustainable and environmentally friendly textile supply chain. At the same time, with Fifth Avenue International, we wanted to give space to innovation, the only real lever to overcome a moment like this. We are sure that the new pole will bring new and important ideas to continue to grow Made in Italy in the world. “.
Marco Ferraro, CEO of Fifth Avenue International concludes: “Our company has been involved in product research and development for over twenty years and we were among the first groups that want to trace the garments that are so that they are free from any virus, independent of origin. For this reason we are always looking for effective innovations that make us at the forefront of the market. The choice of adopting ViralOff as a fundamental component of the development process of our products and offering it to our customers as an indispensable commodity was for us an obligatory choice given the very high potential of this treatment. With the creation of the research center, we want to take a step further: we aim to transform innovation into the fundamental driver to respond to the international crisis triggered by Covid. ”
